Summer E-sport 暑期電競比賽

眼見去年的成功，我們決定今年將電子競技比賽直接納入我們的年度計劃。隨著電子競技比賽的日益流行，我們發現傳統 Bio-Cup 之外，電子競技比賽可以為學會之間提供了一個新的平台。它旨在加強學會之間的關係，讓參與者體驗體育精神。

這一次，我們繼續使用英雄聯盟作為戰場。當中香港大學的三個學會參加了我們的比賽。此外，我們將其擴展為聯校電子競技比賽。我們很榮幸與香港科技大學生物學會合作。在與他們的代表隊比賽前，我們舉行了一場校內小組賽，從三支球隊中篩選出兩支進入第二天的半決賽資格。在緊湊的賽程下，每場比賽都非常精彩，每支隊伍在策略和表現方面都十分出色。雖然我們的學會BSS戰隊未能在本次賽事中奪冠，但各隊都在拼盡全力贏得每一場比賽，充分展現了體育精神。最後，我們要再次祝賀奪冠隊伍USTBSS T1，感謝他們出色的表現。

該活動在 YouTube 上進行流式傳輸。我們設計了新的比賽版面，為觀眾營造了一種令人驚嘆和興奮的氛圍。活動期間，我們在聊天室中收到了很多正面的評論。所有人都沉浸在這場比賽中。

With the success of the previous year, we decided to put e-sport competition directly into our Annual Plan this year. As the popularity of e-sport competition is rising, we spotted that it provides a novel platform for tournaments between societies besides Bio-Cup. It aims to strengthen the relationship between societies in the University and allow participants to experience sportsmanship.

This time, we continued to use League of Legends as an arena for battle. Three societies from HKU participated in our competition. Moreover, We extended it to a joint-university e-sport tournament. It is our honour to cooperate with Biology and Biotechnology Students’ Society, HKUSTSU. Before battling with their representing teams, we held an intramural competition to select two of the three teams to qualify for the semi-finals on the next day. Under a packed competition schedule, every game was very exciting and each team had a remarkable performance in the aspect of strategies and reaction. Although our BSS team could not be the champion in this event, teams including BSS were doing their best to win every game, fully showing sportsmanship. At last, we want to congratulate the winning team, USTBSS T1 again and give a big thanks for their impressive performance.

The event was being streamed on YouTube. We redesigned all the overlays and streaming styles to create an zastonishing and exciting atmosphere for the audience. We received lots of positive comments on the chat box during the event. Everyone was immersed in the event.
